India opened its account in style by beating Oman 8-0 in the Asia cup opener. Indian chief coach Roelent Oltmans is pretty happy with the team's performance.

"I am very satisfied with the way we played our first game. Winning first match with a big margin is always a good sign," says the Dutch.

India did not capitalise much on the penalty corners, and also tried some variations instead of going for drag flicks. But the coach is not disappointed with this. "I don't think we were that bad on penalty corners. Yah we did some experiments, and when you play against the weaker teams, it's chance for you to try something new," Oltmans says.

India is missing the services of its 4 key players, although its performance in the first match seemed very unmoved from the fact. Coach himself doesn't care much about the injured players.

"See, I cannot talk about those who are not with us now. I can only think about those who are in the squad. And these youngsters also performed well. This is a very talented lot and I am sure they will do a good job in the upcoming matches," Oltmans says. India is facing a tough opponent, South Korea, in the next match, the match everyone is looking forward to in the Pool B. Coach knows it's not going to be easy against the Koreans.

"Souh Korea is a very good team. They are one of the tournament favourites, and they will pose a big challenge before us. But we also have prepared well, and this big win against Oman will give us a lot of confidence," the chief coach concludes.
