Win for Convents in Mumbai School Hockey (12/6/2009)

In the 2009-10 school hockey, Canossa Convent High School ( Andheri ) stunned St.Teresa H.S by a solitary goal( 1-0 ) in the U 16 Girls Inter School Hockey Tournament played at the Mahindra Stadium. Canossa Convent H.S showed defined performance against their strong rivals St.Teresa H.S who had a had day today. The all important goal was scored by Anushka Anarkar in the 12th minutes of the first half ( 1-0 ).

In an another tie of the same category Champions Duruelo Convent H.S ‘A’ ( Bandra ) outclass Swami Vivekananda H.S ( Borivali ) by a hand some margin of 4-0 at lemon break they were leading by 2-0. Duruelo Convent H.S without their five regular players due to prior commitment of school to to field only 8 players displayed outstanding field hockey to down full strength Swami Vivekananda H.S.
