Winless till then, the hosts Australia had it one in the final. It seems the visiting Pakistan team, which lost heavily to Australia in the league match at Bunbury and Bussleton, reserved its best for the parting shot.

At the Perth Hockey Stadium in Curtin University complex, Pakistan kept the marauding Australian forwards in check while its scorers did the job they are expected to.

Pakistan defeated Australia 4-3, after leading 2-1 in the lemon time.

Congrats Pakistan, the winners of Tri-Nation series. In fact, this site compliments manager Kwaja Junaid, who in a tapped interview said that the final is a different ball game. He said that when asked about the prospects of Pakistan in the final in the light of it losing to the home team heavily.
