Korea draws Malaysia 1-1 (5/9/2009)

South Korea drew Malaysia 1-1 in the second match of the 8th Asia Cup at Kuantan in Malaysia.

The first half was almost treading to go goalless, but hardly 30 remained Mohamd Nor babi Fiqri gently tapped in the net off a pass from Abu Ismail. In an otherwise dull and drab proceedings htithero, the goal set the exciting second half.

And it was so. Koreans equalized in the 53rd minute with a neat free hit deflection. Hardworking Yeo Chang Yong did it for the much needed relief. Malaysians would have neatly taken a lead in the 64th Minute, but for the Korean goalie. Azlan Misron connected at top of circle a cross from Chua only to see Lee Myung Ho diving to his right to palm away the sure-shot goal.
