Jalandhar & Chandigarh Win in Junior Nehru (11/14/2009)

Today, on the Children Day, 2 matches were played in the 38th ATS Junior Nehru Hockey Tournament.

In the first match, Govt. Model Sr. Sec. School, Jalandhar beat Spring Dale Sr. School, Amritsar 4-2. Amritsar took lead in the 5th minute when Kawar netted a ball. But Jalandhar came back strongly as their skipper Satbir Singh made a hat-trick, supported by Jujhar Singh's one goal to take them home.

In the second match, Govt. Model High School, Sector 42-B, Chandigarh beat Dhudial Khalsa Hr. Sec. School, Patiala 3-0. Gurjinder Singh scored a piece while Gurjant Singh scored twice for this one-sided victory.
