Both men and women hockey teams start off their Asian Games campaign in style. Like the girls who have defeated Chinese Taipei 7-1 on Sunday, men also outplayed their rival Bangladesh to post an impressive 6-0 victory.

Interestingly, its captains of both sides Jyoti Sunita Kullu and Dilip Tirkey, who led from front in the opening matches.

Stylist forward Kullu and resolute defender Tirkey scored three goals each in their sides’ fluent win.

Men team even surprised with neat conversion of first four penalty corners, though after that three penalty corners were allowed to go abegging.

Men will meet Oman in their next match while it is formidable China for the girls.
