Indian women clinch Bronze in tie-break (12/12/2011)

Indian women won bronze in the Four Nation Hockey Tournament held at Buenos Aires in Argentina yesterday.

India beat Ireland by 4-2 winning Bronze Medal.

In the first half of the game both the teams tried hard but failed to score single goal. In the 53rd minute of the game Harvey from Ireland converted Penalty Corner into a goal taking lead of 1-0 but in the 57th minute Deep Grace Ekka from India equalizes the score 1-1 by successfully converting Penalty Corner into a goal. The score line was 1-1 at the end of regulation and extra time.

Later on the result was decided in Penalty Shootout where four Rani Ramphal, Ritu Rani, Vandana Katariya and Anuradha Devi scored successfully. Wheres for their rival's side, McCay missed the target while Watkins and Daley scored
