Indian girls defeat Chile 3-1 in the Medal Round (8/10/2009)

India defeated Chile 3-1 in its second match in medal round, and got its much wanted win after facing back to back losses.

Chile put pressure on India as they opened their account in the 14th minute, but Poonam Rani swung into action and got the equaliser just 13 minutes later.

It was 1-1 at the half time.

India dominated the second half. In the 63rd minute, Poonam Rani made it 2-1 for her team and just 5 minutes later, a goal from Roslain Dung Dung made sure that it wasn’t Chile’s day.

So India won the match 3-1. Now, they will play South Korea on Tuesday
