India defeat combined Queensland & NSW again (2/15/2009)

In an inconsequential contest, which is considered to be preparation for New Zealand tour, India again posted a win in Australia.

Skipper Sandeep Singh sank in three penalty corners as India whitewashed the Queensland-New South Wales State combine 7-0 in the second outing of their Australia New Zealand tour at the State Hockey Centre in Brisbane today.

Sandeep scored his goals in the 3rd, 19th and 60th minutes. The other scorers were Shivendra Singh (23rd min), Tushar Khandker (40th min), Arjun Halappa (42nd min) and Ignace Tirkey (48th min).

India who had beaten the twin state side 8-1 yesterday, led 3-0 at half time.
