Hockey official`s demise condoled

IMPHAL, Jun 6: The Hockey Manipur has condoled the untimely demise of the founder secretary and vice-president of Manipur Women`s Hockey Association, Waikhom Vijaya.

A release of the Hockey Manipur stated that Vijaya is a great patron who had contributed a lot to the development of hockey amongst the women of the state.

She was the founder secretary of Manipur Women`s Hockey Association from 1976 to 1988, vice-president of Manipur Women`s Hockey Association from 1988 to 2004, secretary of Manipur Women`s Hockey Association from 2004 to 2007 and advisor of Hockey Manipur from 2009 till she survived, added the release.
