HI takes a step towards Gradation (2/9/2010)

Hockey India takes a step towards grading players

Hockey India has formed a Committee to look into the gradation of Players for both Senior and Junior Naitonal Teams for Men and Women.

The Commitee Members are as under:

Ajit Pal Singh

M.P. Ganesh

Zafar Iqbal

Dhanraj Pillay

Jagbir Singh (Director, Planning, Hockey India) is the Convener of the Committee.

In addition, the Captains and National Coaches of both the Men's & Women's Teams will also be members of this Committee, while the President and Secretary General of Hockey India will be Special Invitees.

Does anyone of the named people have the competency of coming up ideas with regards to Gradation of players? It would have sounded like a genuine effort had they got some competent people who did it for Cricket.
