Greenhorn team enters the hockey world, lost 1-5 (12/17/2009)

Shankar Chatterji's Greenhorn team (in blue uniform) played its debut match at the Howrah Dumurjola Sports Complex.

Their opponent team, the local champions, Dhyan Chand Training Center, Howrah, gave them a thrashing welcome and defeated them 5-1!

But the losing team's morale was still not down because they enjoyed their debut in the national game. undefined

The interesting thing was, that it was six-a-side match with both boys and girls in the team. Another interesting thing was the rule of free substitution.
